Baseball Ranked First In New England Poll

Boston College was ranked first in the region in a poll conducted by the New England College Baseball Coaches this week.
The Eagles (23-11, 9-4) received all six first-place votes and finished nine points ahead of second-place Maine. BC will host the Black Bears in a regional showdown on Friday at 3:30 on Shea Field.
BC also received votes in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. The Eagles will begin the defense of their Beanpot Championship on Wednesday at 5 p.m. when they take on Northeastern in Lowell, Mass.
