In a regional poll released by College Baseball Insider this week, the Boston College baseball team was ranked third in the Northeast. The Eagles fall just behind George Mason and Virginia Commonwealth for the top spot in the region.
The Eagles (14-6, 3-1) earned 145 points and had the most first-place votes with five. BC jumps up three spots from last week's poll.
BC also received national recognition this week, receiving votes in the Sports Weekly/ESPN College Baseball Poll and NCBWA Division I Baseball Poll. It is the first time the Eagles have received national votes this season.
