
Carley St. Lucia Earns IWLCA Regional Distinction

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College junior women's lacrosse player Carley St. Lucia (Delmar, N.Y.) earned 2004 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I North All-Region second-team honors, the committee announced on Thursday.
Student-athletes selected to the North All-Region team are now eligible for national All-America honors.
The Eagles' star midfielder adds the distinction to her list after being honored as a first-team All-BIG EAST selection on May 10.
In her third year, St. Lucia led the Eagles in several statistical categories. She concluded the 2004 campaign tied with Susie Breaznell for a team-high 38 points - 26 goals, 12 assists. She led the team in draw controls (26) and ground balls (42). Also an outstanding student, St. Lucia has received the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement in each of her three years at the Heights.
A total of 14 schools were represented on the two teams, led by Dartmouth who placed five players on the 16-member first team.
