CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The baseball team tries to get back to its winning ways this week with a game against Holy Cross (2-6) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader versus Hartford (1-10) starting at noon on Saturday. The Eagles (8-9, 2-1 BIG EAST) have lost their last three games, including a pair last weekend to nationally ranked Miami, 18-8 and 17-5.
The Holy Cross game has been moved to Fitton Field in Worcester, Mass., while the location of the Hartford twinbill is yet to be determined. Check back at BCEagles.com for updates.
The Eagles and Crusaders met on March 7, with BC winning, 7-5. Sophomore Marco Albano (Arlington, Mass.) had the key hit in the game, a two-out, two-run single in the fifth inning that put BC up 6-5. Sophomore Joe Martinez (South Orange, N.J.) got the win while sophomore Ryan Morgan (Weymouth, Mass.) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the save.
This is the first time Boston College and Hartford have met on the diamond since 1995.

NOTES
LEDERHOS MAKES TRIUMPHANT RETURN
Last weekend against Miami senior Matt Lederhos (Westwood, Mass.) saw his first action since suffering a groin injury in a game against Indiana on March 3, and by the looks of it, he is fully recovered. Lederhos led the team at the plate against the Hurricanes, hitting .556 (5-for-9) with his first home run of the season, two runs batted in and three runs scored. In seven games this season, Lederhos is hitting .357 (10-for-28).
FLYNN'S GOT THE POWER
Though he may not be the most intimidating presence at the plate, sophomore Mike Flynn (Trumbull, Conn.) has displayed some nice pop in the early going. Among players who have appeared in at least half of the team's games, Flynn leads the club in slugging percentage (.543) and is tied for the team home run lead, with two. Both of his long balls -- the first two of his career -- have come in his last two games.
LAMBERT MOVING UP CAREER K's LIST
Sophomore Chris Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) is fanning batters at a school-record pace so far this season. In 25.2 innings this year, Lambert has whiffed 32; BC's single-season record is 94, set last season by Mark Sullivan '02. For his career, Lambert has 119 career strikeouts. The school mark is 235, held by Doug MacNeil '91.
STREAKY EAGLES
This year's team has shown a tendency to go through extended stretches of success and failure. It started the season dropping six of its first seven games, then won its next seven, and now has lost its last three.
