Eagles To Open Fall Season This Weekend

Senior Leah Kamataris and the Eagles will begin the 2002 campaign at the fall UConn Tournament on Sept. 22.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College softball team will unofficially open its 2002 season with a fall-ball tournament this weekend, hosted by the University of Connecticut. The Eagles will play two games on Saturday, while Sunday's games and times will be determined by the team's performance on Saturday.

The Eagles will first face Fairfield at 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by Long Island University at 12:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the SportsPlex in Vernon, Conn.

Last season, BC completed the campaign with a 31-24 overall record while recording one of the program's best offensive and pitching seasons ever.
