CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The Boston College men's lacrosse team dropped a 12-7 decision Saturday to Marist College.
The game was dominated by Marist's junior co-captain Paul Donohue. In one of the more impressive performances one will see, Donohue recorded a game-high seven goals to lead the Red Foxes to victory.
Donohue wasted no time getting started, for he netted his first goal just 30 seconds into the game. Those goals sparked a 7-0 run that essentially put the game out of reach.
With the loss, the Eagles fall to 0-6 on the season, while the Red Foxes improve their record to 2-3 (2-2 MAAC).
Highlighting the Boston College effort was netminder James Karambay (Newington, CT). The junior, under pressure for most of the afternoon, stopped 24 shots on the afternoon.
Boston College will attempt to get that elusive first victory Monday, April 2, in a home contest versus the University of Vermont. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
