CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The Boston College men's lacrosse team lost their 2001 season-opener by a 15-2 count to Hartford in a game played on March 3.
The Eagles were victimized by Hartford's potent offensive attack, which was led by senior Damian Cliffe's four goals. In all, Hartford had nine different goal scorers on the afternoon.
Boston College's game against Vermont, originally scheduled for March 7, was postponed due to inclement weather. The Eagles will now focus their sights on their St. Patrick's Day game against Harvard on March 17. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
