Brian St. Pierre: Good afternoon everyone. Thanks for being here today. Let's get to your questions.
Andrew (New Bedford, MA): Brian - Do you think winning the Big East Championship this year is still a realistic goal?
Brian St. Pierre: Yes, I definitely do. We set that as our primary goal this season as a team. We have only one loss in the Big East and we are still in the hunt.
Dallas: As an opponent, has the Notre Dame mystique faded in recent years?
Brian St. Pierre: I don't think so. I think everyone looks at ND as a national spotlight team. They are playing good football and they have had a tough schedule. We are looking forward to the challenge.
Kelly, MN: How will BC's passing game fair against Notre Dame's experienced sedcondary? What did you learn from your start against Notre Dame last year and how will it effect your performance this year?
Brian St. Pierre: We have a lot of respect for their secondary. They are very talented but we feel we can throw on them because our receivers have been playing very well. But we do have respect for their talent but we feel we'll get some yards in the air.
James (Sanford, NC): What worries you the most about the ND defence?
Go BC!
Brian St. Pierre: I think their overall agressiveness on defense. They are very tough and physical. They have played some tough teams so they are battle tested and ready to go.
berryboy99 (NYC): If you had the opportunity to ask the BC fans to do one thing this weekend, what would it be?
Brian St. Pierre: Be as loud as possible and make it the most hostile environment as possible. You want to have a homefield advantage whenever you can. We want to make it a tough atmosphere for Notre Dame to play in.
Boston: How much did your playing days at St. John's prepare you for your college career at BC?
Brian St. Pierre: A good amount. I played a lot of ball in high school. I played four years against great competition in the Boston area so it helped me a lot.
Patrick (BC): What has been the secret to your success as a quarterback and what do you have to do against Notre Dame so that we can send them back to South Bend with an 'L'?/
Brian St. Pierre: I don't have any secrets other than I prepare hard every week and have confidence in my abilities.
To send them home with a loss, we have to execute on both sides of the ball.
tim sommers quincy ma.: Do you think you will make a bowl game this season?
Brian St. Pierre: I think our chances are very good. But we are not focused on that at all. We are focused on Notre Dame because they are next on the schedule. So we're not looking at the Bowl schedule yet.
Hokiefan (Blacksburg): How tough was it to play in the hostile atmosphere of Lane stadium? And how good do you think the Virginia Tech defense really is?
Brian St. Pierre: They have a great environment down there. It is a fun and exciting place to play. They have a tough defense and they have a chance to do some good things this year if they continue to play like they did against us.
Evan (Narrows, VA): What do you think of the BCS rankings released yesterday?
Brian St. Pierre: To tell you the truth, I didn't pay much attention because there is a lot of football left to be played so those rankings don't mean much right now.
Matt, Boston: Are you glad you chose BC over ND?
Brian St. Pierre: I really liked the school and I really wanted to play in a pro-style offense so those were my two motivating factors for choosing BC over ND, Syracuse and Ohio State.
Ricardo, Boston: What is the biggest thing that you learned from Tim Hasselbeck in your two years under him?
Brian St. Pierre: Just watching him play and getting the experience watching him run the offense. I learned a lot just being able to ask him questions about how he ran this offense.
Dave (San Jose,Ca): Brian,I noticed that You were far more emotional during the Pittsburgh Game. Was that intentional on Your part?
Brian St. Pierre: I am always emtional, and if I was more so in the Pitt game, it wasn't anything intentional. I have always been that type of player, so it is nothing new to me.
DJ (Boston): has the fact that notre dame is not as good this year as they were projected to be take anything off the hype of this upcoming game?
Brian St. Pierre: I don't think so. I think they are a lot better than people think. They had a tough start but have now won three in a row. So they are playing well right now and they are a really good team.
Mike from Danvers: Brian, Do you think the Notre Dame game is one of the biggest games of your career to this point?
Brian St. Pierre: I don't know if I would say that. I would say this is the biggest game of the season for us. Each game gets more important because he means that much more. For us, the most important game is the next one on the schedule.
Tim (pennsylvania) : do you think that the lack of good high school football in the boston area hurts your teams chances as far as recruiting
Brian St. Pierre: I don't think so. I think there is good talent in the Boston area. But we have branched out to Ohio, New Jesery and even Florida. So, we recruit all over.
Onder Pulat: Who do you think will win this weekend in the Oklahoma vs Nebraska matchup, you do know there #1 vs #2 BCS right?
Brian St. Pierre: To be honest, I haven't really thought about it. But if I had to pick I would pick Nebraska.
Ben, Boston: How much easier is it for you as a quarterback to play alongside a back as sensational as Willie Green?
Brian St. Pierre: It definitely helps any player to be surrounded by great players. He is a great player and we feed off each other. We try and open things up for each other so we work well together.
Brian St. Pierre: That's all the time I have for now. Thanks for the questions and thanks for the interest. I hope everyone will tune in and watch the game this weekend (Sat. 7:45 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Take care.
