Washington, Green Shine In Football Scrimmage

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Tailback Cedric Washington rushed carried the ball 19 times for 91 yards while fellow tailback William Green rushed 25 times for 82 yards and a touchdown Saturday in Boston College's first intrasquad scrimmage of the spring practice season.
Sophomore quarterback Brian St. Pierre completed 10 of 20 passes for 66 yards, while redshirt freshman quarterback Kevin Kiley was 7-of-15 for 67 yards on the day. Tight end Mike Guazzo led all BC receivers with three catches for 35 yards in the 90-minute, 24-series scrimmage.
"Our youth showed today," Coach Tom O'Brien said. "We have a lot of young kids out there who need to learn how to play at the college level. If we can get that accomplished this spring, we will have come a long way. To that end, this will be a big week for our football team."
BC's annual Jay McGillis spring game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, April 15 at Alumni Stadium.
