Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth

Bronx, N.Y. - The Boston College men's cross country team ran to an eighth place finish at the 2000 Northeast Regional Cross Country meet held today at Van Courtland Park in Bronx, N.Y. BIG EAST rival Providence College took first place.
Finishing first for the Eagles was fifth year student John Dudley in 16th place with a time of 31:42.1. Next for the Boston College in 34th was senior captain Colin Wolfe with 32:19.0. In 60th with 32:58.2 was senior captain Justin Burdon. One second later (32:59.2) finished senior Mark Fonnemann taking 62.
Out of 215 participants junior Nate Buttrick finished 94th, followed by senior captain Andrew Shaffer in 123rd and sophomore Shawn Wallace in 133.
Also at the Van Courtland Park today, the women's cross country team won their NCAA qualifying meet.
