McNeill enters her fifth season working as an assistant coach with the women's soccer team. McNeill, who is working on her MBA at Boston College, was a volunteer assistant in 2009 before returning to work on her degree. McNeill graduated in May 2008 from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College with a degree in human development and a minor in psychoanalytic studies. After receiving her diploma on graduation day, McNeill flew to Sweden to begin her professional soccer career as a member of an elite team - Kristianstad - in the women's league Damallsvenska. On January 16, 2009, McNeill was drafted ninth overall by Saint Louis Athletica of the now defunct Women's Professional Soccer League. McNeill played one season with St. Louis, one season with Atlanta, and one season with the Philadelphia Independence. In the winter of 2011-12, McNeill played for FC Rossiyanka in Russia. She spent the summer of 2012 playing for the New York Fury in the WPSL Elite. McNeill played for the Boston Breakers in the WPS in the summer of 2013. A native of Avon, CT, McNeill was a four-year starter and played in 86 consecutive games at BC. McNeill played up front for the first three seasons and pulled the switch her senior season to be a defender. The move proved to be the key as McNeill was crucial to the Eagles defense as it was ranked sixth in the country in goals-against-average (0.475). When McNeill finished her career at BC she was the eight all-time leading scorer with 61 career points.
