Mara, Lowenberg and Reale Score in Victory Over UMass

AMHERST, Mass. – Emily Mara's early goal propelled the Eagles to a 3-0 victory over UMass on Sunday afternoon.
Mara opened the scoring just five minutes into the match. She drove the ball to the goal line and shot it into the top left corner of the net.
Sophia Lowenberg scored 54 minutes into the contest, contributing to the team's victory over UMass. She found the net following a set piece, as sophomore Tess Barrett delivered a corner kick into the center of the box. Lowenberg connected with the ball and headed it into the left corner of the goal.
Sophie Reale capped off the match with the Eagles' third goal, also from a corner kick. Freshman Tess Barret served the ball into the box, where Ashley Roberts attempted to clear it. However, the ball reached Reale at the top of the box, and she sent it into the bottom right corner of the goal.
Olivia Shippee recorded a shutout, saving all nine shots she faced. This marks Shippee's third shutout of the season.
The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. against St. John's.
