AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Swam a season best in the 50 Y Free with a time of 23.38 at the ACC Championships… swam a personal best in the 200 Y Free with a time of 1:51.84… commenced to the finals at the ACC Championships ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017-2018): Had an outstanding rookie season where she competed as a member of the ACC squad, where she swam on three record-breaking relays—the 200 yd. medley relay, 400 yd. medley relay, and 800 yd. freestyle relay, also setting the school record in the 50 yd. freestyle (23.25) and set a lifetime best in the 100 yd. freestyle, marking the second fastest time in program history (51.28)…at the Terrier Invite, placed 10th in the 50 yd. freestyle (23.90), 11th in the 100 yd. freestyle (52.16), and 15th in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:55.35), also anchored the 200 yd. medley relay, leading it to a first-place finish and school record…at the Boston University dual meet, placed first in the 50 yd. freestyle (24.06) and the 100 yd. freestyle (52.14)…scored a total of 304.25 points her freshman year…was awarded the Harold M. Groden Award for Outstanding Performance, as a result of her contributions to the 200 yd. medley relay, and was voted Most Valuable Performer by the Women’s Team…named to the ACC Honor Roll.
BEFORE BC: High school team won the Division 1 State Championship in 2014, 2016, and 2017…Four-time league All-Star…Four-time Lowell Sun All-Star…Named to the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team in 2014, 2016, and 2017 for relays…All-American in 2014 for the 200 medley relay…Rookie of the year in 2014…Team MVP in 2015 and 2017…Team Captain in 2017…Holds school records in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay…Westford Academy Biology Merit Award (2016)….Westford Academy Academic Achievement Award (2014, 2016, 2017)…Westford Academy Emerging Leader Award (2015)...Member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Bill and Deni Kea…She has one brother, Alex (25), who attended Syracuse University as an undergraduate, and received his Master’s degree from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering…Also has one sister, Kristina (23), who attended Boston College for both undergraduate and graduate school for English and Secondary Education…Ali swims for her club team, Patriot Swim Club, and also coaches in the summer at Chelmsford Swim and Tennis…Enrolled in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences.
