Charlie Davies, a former standout for Boston College on the field, is in his second season as an assistant coach on Ed Kelly's staff. Davies, currently a forward for the New England Revolution, starred on the field for the Eagles from 2004-06 before signing a professional contract in the winter of 2007. Davies was a Hermann Trophy finalist as a junior after establishing school records with 15 goals and 36 points. He was also an NSCAA All-American and the ACC Offensive Player of the Year. The Manchester, N.H., product was a freshman All-America selection in 2004 and was the Big East Rookie of the Year. His sophomore season was cut short due to injury. Davies began his professional career with Hammarby IF in Sweden, where he played for three seasons. He scored 21 goals in 56 appearances with the club. Following his stint in Stockholm, he went on to play with Sochaux in France for the next three years. Davies played the 2011 season on loan for D.C. United in Major League Soccer. Following that year, he signed with Randers FC of the Danish Superliga. In 2013, he played on loan for the New England Revolution and has remained on the Revs roster since. Davies has also represented the United States on the Men's National Team. He played in the 2007 Copa America, the 2009 Confederations Cup and in qualifying rounds for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He has 17 career caps and four goals.
