Eric Youncofski

Eric Youncofski joins Boston College following three years with The Gazelle Group, starting as the Director of Team and Event Operations. In this role, he oversaw the operations responsibilities of neutral site events while working with the venues, teams, and tv partners to ensure all events were run properly. Eric later became the Director of NIL and Operations, leading the charge in creating The Gazelle Group’s NIL division where he recruited and represented student athletes in addition to coaches on the business side of sports. Youncofski finished his tenure as the Managing Director of Events, strategically recruiting teams to on-conference basketball events and taking charge in Identifying optimal matchups to drive ticket sales and sponsorship revenue.

Prior to his time with The Gazelle Group, Youncofski spent four seasons at UConn, serving for the second season as the Assistant Athletic Director for Men's Basketball Operations following two years as Director of Basketball Operations. In his position, Youncofski was directly connected to administrative policies within the department and university, along with critical budget preparation and monitoring functions. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the men's basketball program, including all travel arrangements. He was also involved with the organization and administration of practice and skill sessions as well as help with scouting reports and in the planning of the team’s community outreach projects.

Youncofski, originally from Middletown, N.J., was a member of the Rhode Island basketball team from 2012-15. He earned his degree from URI in Public Relations, with a minor in Leadership Studies, in three years. While an undergrad, he was an Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient every year and was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.

After graduating, Youncofski spent two years as a graduate assistant and video coordinator on Dan Hurley’s staff at Rhode Island before his promotion to Director of Basketball Operations in 2017-18. He joined the UConn staff at the same position when Hurley took over the UConn program in March, 2018.
