Eagles Place Fourth in Red Bandanna Invitational

VERONA, N.Y. – The Boston College Men's Golf team concluded the Red Bandanna Invitational, placing fourth overall in a field of 11 teams. The Eagles finished shooting 54-over par.
Tony Yin, in the final round of play, shot 3-over par and finished 6-over par in the tournament. Yin led the Eagles throughout the tournament, added another two birdies in round three, and placed inside the top 10 with a T8 finish. The sophomore shot par the most out of any competitor in the tournament (42 times).
Tommy Mangan, finishing T17 and 12-over par, totaled seven birdies and shot even on Par-5 holes. Mangan finished off the invitational strong and shot par a total of 31 times. Both Mangan and Yin had the best third round for the Eagles at 3-over par.
Finishing in third for the Eagles and T34 overall, Jackson Runquist totaled six birdies. The freshman shot even on Par-5 holes and was 19-over par overall.
William Musson concluded the tournament with his best round, shooting 5-over-par 77. Musson shot par 38 times, the third most in the field, and finished in 37th place. Connor Chisum shot 6-over-par 78 in the final round, recorded seven total birdies, and placed 40th.
Individuals, Thomas Wang (+15) and Kieran Low (+16) both saw top-25 scores. Wang recorded four birdies in round three and was the only golfer to shoot under on Par-3 holes (1-under). Low shot 4-under on Par-5 holes and totaled nine birdies.
The Eagles look ahead to the weekend of Sept. 12 as they travel to Farmingdale N.Y. for the Doc Gimmler Invitational.
