Markus Lam Named Nomura Cup Champion

BEIJING — Senior golfer Markus Lam finished the 31st Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship, being named the Nomura Cup Champion. Lam shot 9-under-par with an impressive 5-under-par 67 in the final round, which propelled him into first place.

With the help of Lam's scores, Hong Kong won the team championship, shooting a total of 19-under-par. Japan came in second at 15-under-par.

In the first round, Lam shot 2-under par 70, with five birdies. He then shot 1-under-par in both rounds two and three, with a combined five more birdies. In his dominant final 18 holes, Lam birdied another eight times. Lam shot par 45 times.
