Luke Perry Named Assistant Soccer Coach
August 13, 2026 | Men's Soccer
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Interim head men's soccer coach Francesco D'Agostino has announced that Luke Perry has joined the staff as an assistant coach.
"We are happy to have Luke with us," said D'Agostino. "Luke comes with good experience as a head coach which helps with his organization and leadership skills. I've know Luke for a long time since our player days where we had success as National finalists for Western MA Pioneers in the ASL and PDL. We view the game similarly and approach it from an educational standpoint. He will help to give the team the most we can with lessons on and off the field. We have a great staff with Braima and Pedro. It's good energy and comradery already. It's going well and a lot of fun. I just like being around these guys."
Prior to BC, Perry served as associate head coach at the University of Massachusetts during the 2024 season. As a member of the Minutemen coaching staff, he helped guide the program to an NCAA Elite Eight appearance, marking one of the deepest postseason runs in school history.
Before UMass, Perry spent nine seasons as head men's soccer coach at American International College (AIC), where he established the Yellow Jackets as one of the Northeast's premier NCAA Division II programs. During his tenure, AIC earned its first national ranking, first NCAA Tournament appearance, and first NCAA Tournament victory while setting a program record with 15 wins during the 2021 season. Under Perry's leadership, the Yellow Jackets also reached the Northeast-10 Championship Game for the first time in program history. They recorded landmark postseason victories over nationally ranked opponents, including the program's first-ever NE10 Tournament win.
Perry initially joined the AIC coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2013 before being promoted to head coach. During his tenure, more than 250 student-athletes were recognized on the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, reflecting the team's commitment to academic excellence alongside on-field success.
A native of England, Perry began his collegiate career at Lees-McRae College, where he helped the Bobcats reach the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship match. He earned Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year honors in 2009, was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2010, and later transferred to Southern Connecticut State University, where he served as team captain before graduating in 2013.
He is a UEFA A-licensed coach with collegiate coaching experience across NCAA Division I and Division II programs.
Luke lives in Wilbraham, MA, with his wife, Brianna & children Lily and Leo.
