CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's soccer opens the 2026 season on Wednesday afternoon at Newton Soccer Field as the Eagles host Siena. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
YEAR IN REVIEW
• Boston College is coming off a 5-8-5 overall record and a 1-7-2 mark in ACC play
• The Eagles earned their lone ACC victory against Syracuse, as Amalia Dray converted a penalty kick for the game-winning goal
• BC recorded two conference draws against No. 16 Wake Forest and California
• The Eagles went 4-1-3 in non-conference play, earning wins over FDU, Stonehill, UAlbany and Massachusetts
THE RETURNERS
• Boston College returns 13 players who appeared in 14 or more games during the 2025 campaign, including six who played in all 18 matches
• Last season's leading goalscorer, Sophie Reale, returns for her second season with the Eagles
• Starting goalkeeper Olivia Shippee returns after recording an .846 save percentage and a 0.80 goals-against average last season

CAPTAINS
• Boston College will be led by three captains in 2026: Olivia Shippee, Amalia Dray and Baylor Goldthwaite
• Dray and Goldthwaite return as captains after serving in the same role during the 2025 season

A LOOK AT SIENA
• Siena is coming off a 9-5-6 record during the 2025 season
• The Saints return six starters and four key reserves from last season's squad
• Junior midfielder Catherine Rogers returns after earning First Team All-MAAC honors for the second consecutive season after ranking tied for fifth in the conference in scoring with 20 points
• Senior midfielder Abby Daly returns after earning All-MAAC Second Team honors twice during her career
• Junior goalkeeper Cate Burns returns after ranking first with an .848 save percentage and second in the MAAC with a 0.72 goals-against average last season
• Burns also recorded eight shutouts, which tied for the conference lead
• Senior defender Lindsey Harrington returns after starting 19 of 20 matches last season and helping the Saints record 10 shutouts
• Rogers and Harrington were both named All-MAAC Preseason selections by the league's head coaches
• Siena also welcomes back Megan Stowell, who missed most of last season due to injury after earning All-MAAC Second Team honors in 2024 and MAAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2023
