Eagles Punch Two Tickets to NCAA Championships

Imogen Gardiner will run 1500m Semifinal, and Sydney Segalla in the 400m Semifinal

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Boston College Women's Track & Field punched two tickets to the NCAA Championships Saturday evening, as Imogen Gardiner qualified in the 1500m and Sydney Segalla qualified in the 400m.

NCAA East First Round

Imogen Gardiner punched the first ticket of the evening for Boston College, grabbing the final qualifying spot in the first heat of the 1500m Quarterfinal. She ran a personal time of 4:10.61 to finish fifth overall, breaking her school record she set earlier this season.
In the 400m Quarterfinal, Sydney Segalla punched her ticket to Eugene after winning the third and final heat of the event. She clocked 50.66 to finish sixth overall, earning her first trip to the National Championships.
Gardiner also competed in the 5000m, recording a time of 16:29.63.
The regional concluded with the 4x400m relay. Gina Certo, Segalla, Anna Sonsini, and Anna Becker crossed the line at 3:33.94, good for 18th overall.
