Gardiner and Segalla Advanced to Saturday's Quarterfinals at NCAA East First Round

Both Eagles automatically qualified for their respective quarterfinal races
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Imogen Gardiner and Sydney Segalla sealed their places in Saturday's Quarterfinal races, as the Boston College Women's Track & Field competed in the NCAA East First Round at the University of Kentucky's Outdoor Track & Field Complex Thursday evening.

Next Up: The Eagles are slated to compete in four events Saturday. Along with the quarterfinals, Gardiner will compete in the 5000m Semifinal at 8:10 p.m. EST, while Segalla joins Anna Sonsini, Anna Becker, and Gina Certo in the 4x400m Quarterfinal at 8:45 p.m. EST.
ACC Outdoor Championships
- Gardiner kicked things off in the First Round of the 1500m. The Sydney, Australia, native was slated for the fourth and final heat, where she finished third in 4:13.59 to automatically qualify for Saturday's quarterfinal.
- Segalla followed in the 400m First Round. Racing heat three, she sprinted her way in across the line at 50.79, best in her heat and fourth overall in the event to automatically qualify for the 400m Quarterfinal.
