Two School Records Broken at Tom Jones Memorial

Segalla and 4x400m relay group top BC record book
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Women's Track and Field concluded action at its three meets this weekend, highlighted by Sydney Segalla's school record in the 400m and a new 4x400 school record at the Tom Jones Memorial.

- Erin Finley matched a personal best of 5.42m in the long jump, finishing third overall.
- In the javelin throw, Emily Rohan topped the leaderboard with a throw of 40.68m.
- Ava Carter earned second place in the 100m, clocking an 11.95 for a new personal best. She would later claim first in the 200m with a time of 24.50, also a personal best.
- Boston College dominated the 5000m, earning the top four places in the race. Maeve Casey led the way with a time of 17:22.98, followed by Veronica Tiara at 17:28.62, Lindsey Whitton at 17:32.07, and Kylie Wild at 18:04.82 to round out the group.
- Gina Certo recorded a time of 55.25 in the 400m, earning a top-40 finish.
- Segalla, racing in her first 400m of the outdoor season, claimed seventh place in the invite with a school-record time. It's also her fastest 400m as an Eagle.
- The relay group of Segalla, Anna Sonsini, Certo, and Anna Becker set a time of 3:33.35, breaking the previous best by nearly three seconds. Their time would place them 11th overall in the 4x400m relay.
- Abby Lewis recorded a time of 4:30.62 in the 1500m Open B.
- Imogen Gardiner raced in the 1500m Invite, recording a 4:10.77 for a top-15 finish. That time set a new school record in the 1500m.
- Claire Crowley and Iris Bergman both ran in the 1500m Open A. Crowley clocked a time of 4:29.53 to finish 58th, while Bergman ran a 4:37.26.
