Fencing Prepares for Northeast Regional

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Fencing will travel to Poughkeepsie, NY on Sunday for the 2026 NCAA Northeast Regionals as fencers will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Last Year's Northeast Regional
At last year's regionals, Elijah Onik was the top finisher as he came in second in the saber, which earned him a spot at the NCAA tournament. Onik led the way for the Eagles on Sunday, placing second overall in Men's Foil. Boston College had two other fencers place in the top-20 for Men's Foil as Adam Yang earned 9th overall and Ethan Kwon finished 19th.
Junyao Lu was the highest Women's finisher on the day, as she earned 13th place in Women's Epee. Laura Fekete also finished in the top-20 with her 18th overall performance.
Four Eagles placed in the top-25 for Men's Epee, as Colin Yu led the way with his 11th overall performance. Daniel Gao achieved 18th place, while Levi Hughes and Thomas Huang finished back to back in 22nd and 23rd place respectively.
Luca Berman earned the highest finish for the Eagles in Men's Sabre, as he achieved 17th place. Colin Noble earned 18th place, while Ryan Wong finished 20th and William Xu placed 23rd.
Last Time Out
The Boston College fencing team hosted the Northeast Fencing Conference Championships at the Margot Connell Rec Center as they competed against schools from the Northeast. The men's team went 4-1 while the women's team finished 6-1. Men's foil went 3-2, epee was a perfect 5-0, and saber went 3-2. On the women's foil, went 7-0; epee, 5-2; and saber, 6-1.
