Women's Tennis Battles in Loss to Cal

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team (8-7, 0-5 ACC) battled but fell, 4-0, to Cal (7-3, 4-1) Friday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.

The Golden Bears claimed the doubles point with victories in doubles No. 1 and No. 2, both by 6-4 margins. The Eagles' pairing of Tola Glowacka and Bella Camacho was locked in a tight battle at No. 3 doubles, 4-5, before the point was clinched and their match remained unfinished.

In singles, BC fought across the lineup. Seren Agar took the opening set at No. 2 singles, before play was halted in the third set. Glowacka and Nadia Barteck each held leads or were in tightly contested matches before play was left unfinished. Barteck was on the verge of a straight-set victory at No. 6, leading 6-1, 6-5 when the No. 6 singles match went unfinished.

The Golden Bears secured the win with three straight-set singles victories to clinch the match.
