Hockey East Announces End of Season Awards; Hagens Named First Team All-Star

Five Eagles earned recognition from the league with the end of the season awards
AMESBURY, Mass. – Hockey East completed its release of end of season awards for men's hockey on Thursday afternoon, which included the announcement that James Hagens was a finalist for Hockey East Player of the Year. Will Vote was named the Len Ceglarski Individual Sportsmanship Award recipient, while three Eagles were named Hockey East All-Stars along with one freshman making the Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team.
Hagens, also the league's scoring champion and Three Stars Award winner, was selected to the First Team after leading the league in points with 28 on 13 goals and 15 assists. The sophomore tallied at least one point in 20 of the 24 league games and posted three three-point games, including a hat trick in the 5-2 win over UConn on Feb. 20.
Dean Letourneau and Lukas Gustafsson were both named Third Team All-Stars. In league play, Letourneau finished third in goals (12) and tied for fourth in points (22). The sophomore recorded his first multi-goal game in the 3-1 win over UMass Lowell on Dec. 5 with two power play goals. Gustafsson skated in all 24 league games for the Eagles, finishing with 12 points on four goals and eight assists from the blue line. The senior captain scored the overtime game-winning goal at UConn on Feb. 21 to help the Eagles pick up two crucial points in the league standings.
Luka Radivojevic rounds out the awards for the Eagles as he was named to the Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team. Radivojevic finished with 12 assists, tied for 10th in Hockey East and the most by a freshman defender.
