Women's Golf Victorious at Briar's Creek Invitational

C. Zhang, Kim and J. Zhang all earn top ten finishes
JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C. – Boston College Women's Golf earned its first win of the spring slate, finishing atop the leaderboard at the Briar's Creek Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston. The team finished 11-under par over 36 holes, holding the lead throughout the tournament.

Senior Cynthia Zhang was the highest placing Eagle in the lineup, finishing in a tie for second place at 5-under par. She finished the tournament with nine birdies and was the best shooting player on par 4 holes.

Junior Frances Kim was the other top-five recipient for the Eagles, tying for fourth place at 4-under par. Freshman Joyce Zhang followed right behind in a tie for sixth place at 3-under par. Kim and J. Zhang combined for 15 birdies and just eight bogeys.

Graduate student Tiffany Cao finished in a tie for 24th place at 1-over par, and sophomore Ana Lucia Trevino rounded the BC lineup in a tie for 56th place at 6-over par.

As a team, Boston College was the best performing team on par 4 holes (-2), recorded the most birdies (35), and the fewest number of bogeys (24).
