Swim and Dive Heads to BU For Winter Open

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College swim and dive will travel to Boston University for the third and final time this season to compete in the BU Winter Open. The Eagles have already competed in a tri-meet against the Terriers and the Terrier Invite in November.
Boston College will compete Friday night, beginning at 6:00 p.m., before wrapping up with a second day of competition starting at 12:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Eagles competed in a tri-meet two weeks ago with Harvard and UPenn and were swept both. Nick Fabian was the Eagles' top finisher during the afternoon, coming in fourth in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:34.93. He also finished sixth in the 400 IM at 4:04.90. BC recorded four individual top-five finishes with Matt Lang, Max Conway, Luke Amerson, and Valerio Bonuglia coming in fifth in their respective events.
The Eagles recorded four top-five finishes in the relays, with three fifth-place finishes and a fourth-place finish in the women's 400 free relay. BC placed 16 swimmers in the top six.
Last Season's Winter Open
At last year's Winter Open, the men's team placed first while the women's team finished fourth. The BC men compiled two first-place finishes in diving competitions, along with multiple personal-best and season-best times in swimming events.
