BC and BU Unveil Commemorative Logo for the 300th Battle of Comm Ave

The Eagles and Terrier meet for the 300th time on Monday in the Beanpot Championship
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College and Boston University have unveiled a commemorative logo for the 300th Battle of Comm Ave in men's hockey, which will take place Monday night when the two teams compete in the championship game of the 73rd annual Dunkin' Men's Beanpot.
Two legendary head coaches who are synonymous with this rivalry will help celebrate the occasion, as Hockey Hall of Famers Jerry York (BC '67) and Jack Parker (BU '68) will perform a ceremonial puck drop prior to Monday's title game. The pair skated against one another five times as players before coaching against each other on 82 occasions, including 16 times in the Beanpot.
The best rivalry in college hockey got its start 108 years ago this week when the two schools met at Boston Arena on Feb. 6, 1918. The Eagles are 137-141-21 all-time against the Terriers.
Monday's contest will be a rematch of the 2025 Beanpot championship game, which BU won, 4-1. The Eagles won the 299th Battle of Comm Ave by that same score on Jan. 30.
