Men's Tennis Falls to No. 2 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Boston College men's tennis team (4-3, 0-1 ACC) fell to No. 2 University of Virginia (9-2, 1-0 ACC), 7-0, Friday afternoon in Charlottesville.

The Cavaliers took control of the match early to take the doubles point after defeating the duo of Liam O'Leary and Matvey Greschner at No. 1 and Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde at No. 2 doubles. The Eagle duo of Luke Levanat and Lukas Rais left their match unfinished, but up, 4-2 over the Cavaliers.

UVA remained strong, defeating six Eagles in singles competition to take the match, 7-0. Lukas Rais battled in the closest singles contest of the afternoon at No. 5, forcing a first-set tiebreak before falling 7-6 (7-1), 6-3.
