Imogen Gardiner Crowned 5000m Champion at Day One of ACC Indoor Championships

Several Eagles earn All-ACC honors after first day of action
BOSTON, Mass – Imogen Gardiner became Boston College's first ACC Champion since Kate Mitchell in 2023, as she took home top honors in the 5000m on the first day of the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, held at the TRACK at New Balance.

ACC Indoor Championships – Day One
- Molly FitzPatrick opened with the unseeded 5000, running a 16:35.06.
- Ava Carter competed in the 200m prelim, running a 20.80.
- Gardiner used a late kick with just over two laps to go, pulling away from the field to cross the finish line in first at 15:43.73 to win the 5000m title. It is the first individual title of her track and field career and the first time BC has championed the event.
- The women's DMR group of Hanna Hollins, Anna Sonsini, Iris Bergman, and Kyra Holland closed the opening day of competition by securing third place with a time of 10:54.09. Their time earned them All-ACC Second Team and ranks fourth all-time in program history.
