Sonsini and Gardiner Set School Records as BC Races at Husky Classic and Valentine Invitational

Eagles record eight all-time marks
BOSTON, Mass – Boston College Women's Track & Field concluded weekend action in blistering fashion, breaking two school records and recording several top ten marks across the Husky Classic and David Hemery Valentine Invitational.

Next Up: The Eagles conclude their regular season with the Terrier DMR Challenge on Sunday, February 22, ahead of the ACC Championships at the TRACK at New Balance.
Husky Classic (Day Two)
- Anna Sonsini improved on her 60m school record to open the meet, running a 7.52 in the prelim before clocking a 7.51 in the final. Ava Carter also raced in the final, finishing seventh with a time of 7.62. That time is a personal best and ranks second all-time in program history.
- Anna Becker ran a personal best 55.00 in the 400m, which ties her fourth in program history. Gina Certo made her debut, running the seventh fastest mark in program history with a time of 55.41.
- Natalie Millerova came out flying in the Mile Invite, clocking a personal best time of 4:33.41 to finish seventh. That puts her second all-time in program history, as well as in the top 10 in the ACC and top 25 in the NCAA.
- Iris Bergman ran a 2:07.08 in the 800m, good for 14th place overall.
- Following her final leg of the DMR Friday night, Imogen Gardiner shattered the 3000m record by more than 14 seconds, running an 8:54.99 to finish fourth in the event. That time places her in the top five in the ACC and top 25 in the NCAA.
- The 4x400 relay team of Kyla Palmer, Certo, Becker, and Carter rounded out action at the Husky Classic. The group crossed the finish line at 3:42.11, good for second place and fifth all-time in program history.
David Hemery Valentine Invitational
- Claire Crowley ran a personal best of 2:12.54 in the 800m.
- Gabrielle Hamel (9:43.92) and Ellie Buckley (10:09.11) both compete in the 3000m, with Hamel setting a new personal best in the event.
