Kapke drops 15 points; one of four BC players to reach double-digits
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College fell short at home in a 70-64 decision to Stanford on Wednesday night. Four Eagles reached double-digit figures, led by Boden Kapke with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

FIRST HALF
- Stanford opened the scoring with a free throw. Jayden Hastings responded with BC's first basket, connecting on a layup plus the foul
- The Cardinal responded with a 12-0 scoring run to grab a 15-6 lead with 12:20 remaining
- The Eagles answered with buckets from Fred Payne, Donald Hand Jr., and Hastings, cutting the deficit to three.
- Stanford extended its advantage again with 7:45 remaining, grabbing a 32-18 lead with 5:16 remaining, its largest of the half
- Luka Toews quickly replied with back-to-back jumpers, sparking a 10-0 scoring run
- BC continued its momentum as Chase Forte scored six straight to keep the game within single digits. He later forced a steal to make it 34-32 with just over a minute remaining
- BC entered the half with a 34-34 scoreline. Payne held the team high of 10 points, while Kapke recorded six rebounds
SECOND HALF
- Toews continued his hot hand, draining back-to-back buckets to open the second half. Kapke followed with a top-of-the-key three-pointer to give BC a 41-38 lead, its first since the early minutes of the first half
- Stanford reclaimed the lead, using an 11-2 scoring run to claim a six-point edge with 11:27 remaining
- Buckets from Boden Kapke, Aidan Shaw, and Toews kept the Eagles within two possessions with just over seven minutes remaining
- BC cut the lead to 56-53, but Stanford replied with multiple three-point plays to stretch its lead to nine.
- Down eight with three minutes left, Payne and Hastings scored six straight points to make it 65-62 with 1:53 in the contest
- The Cardinal would hold on down the stretch, taking a 70-64 decision
