February 01, 2026 | Women's Basketball
ATLANTA - Boston College women's basketball suffered a 70-60 setback to Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon in McCamish Pavilion.
The Eagles fall to 4-20 on the season and 0-11 in the league, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 10-13 and 5-6 in the conference.
Jocelyne Grier followed up performance from Thursday (23 points) with another solid outing, scoring a game-high 20 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field. Lily Carmody was right behind with 19 points, hitting eight of her 13 shot attempts, and added four rebounds.
Kayla Rolph grabbed nine boards, while Kaia Henderson and Amirah Anderson dished out three assists.
A slow start offensively in the first quarter set the tone for the rest of the contest. Georgia Tech held the Eagles to two field goals in the period, jumping out to a 17-5 lead.
Georgia Tech built its lead to as much as 17 before Erin Houpt's layup near the end of the half made it a 15-point game. Houpt paced the offense in the second period, scoring all eight of her points in the frame.
BC started the second half on a 6-2 spurt after a pair of Rolph free throws, slicing the gap to 11. However, it was as close as Boston College would get until the final score, as the Yellow Jackets went into the fourth with a 50-34 lead and kept the Eagles at bay.
BC returns to action on Thursday in the first of two matchups against Syracuse. Tip is at 6 p.m. in Conte Forum.
