
Eagles Kick off 2026 Against North Carolina and UNC Wilmington

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College swim and dive will open 2026 on the road when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to take on North Carolina and UNC Wilmington. The meet will take place on Friday, Jan. 9, at Koury Natatorium on the campus of North Carolina.
The diving competition will begin at 1 p.m., and the swimming events will start at 2 p.m. Meet information, including a list of events, can be found here.

Last Time Out
The Eagles last competed as a team during the Terrier Invite back in November. BC men won the invite for the second straight year, finishing first with 1428 points, while the women came in sixth with 716 points. The Eagles set three school records during the week, including two relay records and an individual record.
After the Terrier Invite, Matt Cinque and Sirui Wang each competed in the US Open Championships in Austin, TX. Cinque came in 12th in the 1500, while Wang competed in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke.
Cinque competed the following week in the 2025 College National Open Water Championships. He finished third in the men's 5k race with a time of 52.56.0. His finish earned him a spot in the national championships in April.
