Flanigan and Sawyer Shine for Skiing at St. Lawrence Carnival

Lake Placid, N.Y. - On Friday night the Boston College ski team concluded their second day at the St. Lawrence Carnival. Bode Flanigan led the team in both events for the men while Fiona Sawyer led the women with a career best run in the giant slalom.
Day 1 - Giant Slalom
Sawyer led the women with a career best 10th-place finish, while Jasmine Whittaker placed 30th.
On the men's side, Flanigan paced the team with a tenth place result with Nick Kirwood adding a solid 13th-place finish. Henry Andrie and Alex McNabb rounded out the scoring with top-30 performances, finishing 26th and 27th, respectively.
Day 2 - Slalom
Flanigan came back on the second day with a fifth place finish in the slalom. Kirwood finished in the top-15 with a time of 1:28.36 at 13th. McNabb also grabbed points for the Eagles with a 21st place finish.
Whittaker joined in on the fun with a run of 1:36.04 to place 17th in the women's slalom.
UP NEXT
The Eagles travel to Lyme Center, N.H. for the Dartmouth Carnival. The two-day event is set to start on Thursday Jan. 30.
