
Eagles Conclude the Colby Carnival with Five Top-10 Finishes

KINGFIELD, ME. - On Saturday afternoon the Boston College ski team concluded their first EISA competition of the 2026 season after two days at the Colby Carnival. The men's and women's team combined to finish in fourth place overall in team standings with 299 points.
Day 1 - Slalom
On the men's side, senior Bode Flanigan led the way for the Eagles, placing fourth in the slalom (1:28.59) earning 44 EISA points. Junior Nick Kirwood posted an eighth-place finish in the slalom (1:29.16), earning the best collegiate slalom result of his career. Senior Alex McNabb also recorded a top-30 finish, placing 24th with a time of 1:31.59.
For the women, Jasmine Whittaker led the way with a 14th-place finish, posting a time of 1:33.84. Fiona Sawyer followed closely behind in 21st at 1:35.67, while freshman Cara Dempsey made her collegiate debut with a solid 27th-place finish in 1:36.89.
Day 2 - Giant Slalom
Kirwood led the way with a seventh-place finish, clocking a time of 2:10.62. Flanigan followed closely behind in eighth at 2:10.71, while Colin Hanna rounded out the top 10 with a 10th-place finish in 2:10.82. McNabb placed 27th with a time of 2:13.43, and Henry Andrie finished 30th in 2:14.50.
Also earning a top-30 result, Cara Dempsey finished 27th overall with a time of 2:21.09.

The Eagles travel to Wilmington, N.Y. for the St. Lawrence Carnival. The two-day event set to start on Thursday Jan.22.
