CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman goaltender Louka Cloutier was named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List on Wednesday afternoon, presented annually to the top goalie in NCAA Division I Hockey since 2014.
Cloutier is one of 29 goaltenders across the country, and one of six in Hockey East, to be named to the Watch List.
The Sherbrooke, Quebec native sits third in Hockey East in goals against average (2.15) and sixth in save percentage (.913). In league games, Cloutier leads in goals against average (1.69) and is second in save percentage (.935).
Last year, Jacob Fowler became just the second Eagle ever to win the award, joining Thatcher Demko, who claimed the award in 2016.
Cloutier and the Eagles take on Providence in a home-and-home series this weekend, with Friday's game at Kelley Rink before making the trip to Schneider Arena on Saturday.
