Women’s Hockey Falls to Harvard in Beanpot Semifinals

BOSTON — Boston College erased a first-period deficit in the second, but a third-period goal proved to be the difference in a 2–1 loss to Harvard on Tuesday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena.

Harvard opened the scoring at 17:50 of the first period to take a 1–0 lead into the intermission.

The Eagles responded early in the second period. At 6:58, Ava Thomas finished a feed from Emma Conner to tie the game at 1–1, scoring her 13th goal of the season. The teams remained even through the remainder of the period.
Harvard regained the lead at 8:23 of the third period. Boston College pushed late but was unable to find the equalizer.

Senior goaltender Grace Campbell made 32 saves, while Boston College held a 41–34 advantage in shots on goal. Thomas led the Eagles with seven shots.
