
Women’s Hockey Rolls Past Providence, 8–2

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College scored eight goals, its highest single-game total since 2020, in an 8–2 win over Providence on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
Providence scored 35 seconds into the game, but the Eagles answered at 2:53 of the first period when Sammy Taber finished a feed from Ava Thomas to tie the contest.
Boston College pulled away in the second period with six goals in an 11-minute span. Tricia Piku opened the frame at 2:04, followed by goals from Maxim Tremblay (3:53), Emma Conner (6:54) and Lauren Glaser on the power play at 10:01. Ava Thomas added her first of two goals at 13:15 to make it 7–1.
Providence scored at 4:55 of the second, but Thomas responded at 15:31 with her second goal of the game.
Madelyn Murphy closed the scoring 42 seconds into the third period, finishing a pass from Conner.
Senior goaltender Grace Campbell made 28 saves in the win, while Bella Pomarico stopped all seven shots she faced in relief. Boston College held a 40–37 edge in shots and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
