September 30, 2025 | Men's Golf
HAMPDEN, Mass. – The Boston College Men's Golf Team continued its strong play through the third round of action at the UConn Invitational at Greathorse, with junior Markus Lam taking home the individual championship after finishing the three-round event at 4-under par (212). As a team, the Eagles finished runners-up at 3-over par (867), shooting 2-under par in the final round to close the gap to three strokes from hosts and champions UConn.
Â
Lam, who led the Eagles from start to finish, battled his way into a playoff with UConn's Bradley Sawka. After both players bogeyed the par-4 first hole, Lam used a 5-foot birdie putt on the par-3 15th hole to claim the individual title. It is his second of the season, taking home the Red Bandanna Invitational title back in August.
Â
Senior Jack Pogorelc finished second among all Eagles with a round three score of 68, finishing the tournament at 2-under par. His seven birdies rocketed him up 12 places to finish sixth place.
Â
Next to finish was senior William Musson, who recorded a round three score of 74 to finish the event at 8-over par in a tie for 33rd place. Close behind was freshman Tony Yin, scoring four birdies across his final 18 holes to move up 24 places and finish in 41st place at 11-over par.
Â
Junior Ben Paylor rounded out the Boston College lineup in 56th place at 15-over par.
Â
Individually, freshman Connor Chisum finished in a tie for 15th place at 2-over par, shooting a round three score of 74.
Â
Following the UConn Invitational, the Eagles prepare for their final tournament of the fall season, traveling to Alpharetta, Georgia, for the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Georgia Tech.
