BC Falls to Providence on Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Boston College men's soccer team fell to Providence, 2-0, on Friday evening at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in their first road game of the 2025 season. Andrej Borak made three saves in goal for the Eagles.
BC drops to 1-2-0 on the season, while Providence improves to 1-2-0.
Neither side was able to find the back of the net through the opening 45 minutes, with the Eagles registering two shots and Providence with five, none of which were on target.
The Friars broke the deadlock early in the second half when Cameron Yriondo headed home a cross from Diego Batista to put BC down 1-0. Providence doubled its lead later in the half after Caden Stafford scored a header off a corner kick.
BC's lone shot on target of the night came in the final few seconds when Moritz Gundelach headed a Jack Burkhardt free kick towards goal that was stopped by the Providence goalkeeper.
Boston College returns to the Newton Soccer Complex on Tuesday evening for a non-conference tilt against fellow Boston foe Northeastern. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
