News and Notes from Day 1 of Training Camp
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. --Â Training Camp for the 2025 Boston College Eagles is officially underway. The first of 25 practices over the next several weeks was held this morning at the Chamberlin Practice Fields, as head coach Bill O'Brien held a two-hour practice with his Eagles' squad.
Following practice, Coach O'Brien met with the media, along with offensive lineman Jude Bowry, running back Alex Broome, and defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins. Despite today being the first full day with players back in the building, O'Brien could hardly contain the excitement he had when sharing the field with his players. Â
"I love these kids. I love coaching them. They try to do it the right way every time. It's a lot of fun to coach them. They're great kids. They give you everything they got, so I really enjoy coaching these guys."
Enthusiasm was the name of the game from the players after practice, especially Broome.
"It's fantastic. It's been a long time coming. You go through the winter and you go through the spring just itching to get back on the field. It's a fun day," said the redshirt junior running back.
Redshirt junior offensive lineman Jude Bowry is more than comfortable with the guys around him on the field after working tirelessly throughout the winter and spring.Â
"We got hard workers. We got a bunch of guys who are ready to work every day and just give it their all. It's great to be a part of this group. I love coming to work everyday."Â
The Eagles will be back on the practice field tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, rounding out this week, and will go until August 23. Practices are closed to the public.
