
Beth Krysiak Named Head Softball Coach

Krysiak comes to the Heights after two highly successful seasons at Saint Francis
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College has announced the hiring of Beth Krysiak as the new head softball coach. Â Krysiak, who becomes the sixth head coach in the history of the program, arrives at the Heights after two highly successful seasons at Saint Francis.
"Beth is a proven winner and an outstanding leader and we are thrilled to welcome her to Boston College," said William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Blake James. Â "She is highly respected among her peers and her ability to recruit, teach, and develop our student-athletes on and off the field will make an immediate impact on the softball program." Â
During her tenure at Saint Francis, Krysiak guided the Red Flash to consecutive Northeast Conference championships and two trips to the NCAA Regionals. Â In her two seasons, Saint Francis compiled a 67-40 (.626) overall record and a 38-7 (.844) mark in NEC play. Â She coached 18 All-NEC selections, including the 2025 conference Player of the Year, as well as five NFCA All-Region selections.

This past season, Krysiak guided SFU to its second straight conference crown and a trip to the NCAA Regionals in Bryan-College Station, Texas. Â The Red Flash placed seven student-athletes on the all-conference team, including two major award winners. Â
In 2024 - her first season in Loretto - Krysiak led Saint Francis to the NCAA Regional in Austin after posting a 41-27 overall record, including a perfect 27-0 mark against conference opponents through the regular season and conference tournament. As a result, Krysiak and her assistants were named the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year, while 11 members of the Red Flash program earned all-conference accolades.

Prior to her time at Saint Francis, Krysiak spent four seasons at Columbia. Â While there, she worked with the Lions' pitchers and Columbia totaled 11 All-Ivy selections during Krysiak's time with the program. Â
Before Columbia, Krysiak spent the 2019 season at Carnegie Mellon as the pitching coach after a five-year stint as head coach at the University of Dallas. She began her coaching career in 2010 as a graduate assistant at Ottawa University and spent time as an assistant at Buena Vista University and Prairie View A&M before Dallas.

Krysiak earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science in 2010 from Centenary College of Louisiana. She was a five-year member of the softball team at Centenary. She earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ottawa in 2012.Â
