Eagles in Seventh Place Through First Day of Veritex Bank Collegiate

DALLAS -- After the opening 36 holes of play, Boston College sits in seventh place at the Veritex Bank Collegiate. The Eagles totaled 594 through the first two rounds, opening the tournament on Monday with a score of 299, followed by a score of 295 during the afternoon round at the Trinity Forest G.C.

Nine strokes separate second through seventh place, including three teams in the national top 35.

Angel Lin leads the way for BC, sitting in a tie for ninth place (145). She opened tournament play with a 2-over 74, before firing a second round 71 during the afternoon session. Lin played a stellar back nine during that second round, carding six pars and three birdies.

Emily Böhrer is tied for 24th place (149), registering an opening round 74 followed by a second round 75. Through 36 holes, Böhrer has five birdies and 22 pars.

Ana Lucia Trevino is tied for 27th place (150), one stroke behind Böhrer. After carding a score of 77 during the opening 18 holes of competition, Trevino posted a 1-over 73 during the afternoon round. The freshman registered five birdies on the day.

Cynthia Zhang is tied for 35th place (151) after Monday's two rounds. Zhang posted scores of 75 and 76. Frances Kim (153) registered an opening round 76 and a second round 77 and is tied for 42nd place. Sritha Vemuri, competing as an individual, is tied for 71st place (82-79=161).
