
Kim, Eagles Lead After First Round of Diamante Intercollegiate

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Boston College Women's Golf team sits in the driving seat after the round of play, leading the field individually and as a team at the Diamante Intercollegiate. The Eagles (278) sit at 10-under, three strokes ahead of second-place Memphis, and junior Frances Kim is tied for first place at 6-under par.
Kim (66) played a dominant first 18 holes, registering six birdies and no bogeys across play. Graduate student Tiffany Cao (68) follows close behind, tied for third place at 4-under par. She matched Kim by shooting zero bogeys, adding four birdies to her first round scorecard.
Freshman Joyce Zhang (71) is tied for 13th place at 1-under par, where she recorded birdies through holes 5-7.
Graduate student Cynthia Zhang (73) sits tied for 37th at 1-over par, and sophomore Jenna Shilts (77) rounds out the Boston College lineup in a tie for 77th at 5-over par.
The Eagles lead the 18-team field in birdies (19), while ranking second in par 5 (4.60 avg, -5) scoring and pars (60). They will tee of the first hole at 11:18 a.m. / 12:18 p.m. EST with Memphis and Lipscomb.
