Three Eagles Challenging For Lead; BC in First Place at Diamante Intercollegiate

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Boston College Women's Golf team hold a comfortable lead after two rounds of play at the Diamante Intercollegiate. The Eagles (278-283=561) shot 5-under par in round two, building their 36 hole lead to 15-under par and 12 strokes ahead of Memphis.
Graduate students Cynthia Zhang (73-66) and Tiffany Cao (68-71) are tied for second at 5-under par, combining for 13 birdies. Zhang's round two score was the best of any player, moving up 35 places from where she finished round one.
Junior Frances Kim (66-75) continues to fight atop the leaderboard, sitting at 3-under par to hold a tie for fifth place.
Freshman Joyce Zhang (71-73) is tied for 15th at par and Jenna Shilts (77-73) is in 51st place at 6-over par.
Kim ranks first in par 5s (-5), while Boston College ranks first in par 3s (-2), par 5s (-14) and birdies (39).
Boston College will tee off the final round with Seattle and Central Arkansas at 9:00 a.m. off the first hole.
