BC Grabs Sixth Place in NEISA Open Team Race National Championship

The Eagles went 12-10 this weekend, securing their 16th top-10 finish of the season
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Boston College Sailing came away with a sixth place finish this weekend in the NEISA Open Team Race National Championship, hosted by Brown University. This is BC's 16th top-10 finish this season, only finishing outside of the top-10 once.
In the round of 16, the Eagles went 8-7, picking up wins over Stanford, Georgetown, St. Mary's, Charleston, Tulane, Tufts, Bowdoin, and Michigan. BC then entered into a sail off for 7th and 8th place, where they beat Tulane to secure a spot in the top eight.
In the round of eight, the Eagles went 4-3, picking up victories over Harvard, Dartmouth, Stanford, and Tulane. Overall, BC went 12-10 and secured sixth place out of 16 teams. The skippers this weekend were Jack Redmond, Peter Busch, and Michael Kirkman, while Lanie Ferrarone, Matthew Budington, Nick Budington, Sara Schumann, Brendan Peary, and Caroline Sibilly served as the crew.
