
Eagles Place 2nd of 17 in Open Fleet Race Conference Championship

BC turns their sights toward the Open Team Race National Championship next weekend.
BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College Sailing returned to action this weekend, securing their 11th top-five finish of the season, finishing second in NEISA Open Fleet Race Conference Championship. The Eagles also placed 10th of 17 teams in the NEISA Women's Fleet Race Conference Championship.
In the NEISA Open Fleet Race Conference Championship hosted by Brown, BC raced two boats, with the A boat scoring 83 points and the B boat scoring 35 points for a combined 118 points and the second place finish. Peter Busch, Peter Joslin, Michael Kirkman, and Jack Redmond served as the skippers, while Lanie Ferrarone, Nick Budington, Joslin, and Matthew Budington were the crew.
In Connecticut, the Eagles took 10th place of 17 teams in the NEISA Women's Fleet Race Conference Championship hosted by Yale. Once again, the Eagles raced an A and a B boat, with the A boat scoring 10 points and the B boat scoring 44 for a combined 54 points. Caroline Sibilly and Sara Schumann were the skippers, while Kennedy Laureigh, Kate Joslin, Sophia Hacket, and Gabrielle Trinter were the crew. Ainsley West served as a reserve.
