Stroke Play begins on Wednesday, April 16 at the Sedgefield C.C. in Greensboro
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College is set to play in the 2025 ACC Championship, held from April 16-19 at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
The conference championship format will have the 15-team field take part in the 54-holes of stroke play, held on Wednesday and Thursday. Â Wednesday will feature 36 holes of continuous play, followed by 18 holes on Thursday.
The top six teams in stroke play advance to the match play rounds, with the top two team finishers in stroke play receiving byes into the semifinals. Â Match play will begin on Friday morning with the opening round, followed by the semifinals in the afternoon. Â The final match will be held on Saturday.
On Wednesday, Boston College will tee off on the 10th hole beginning between 8:40-9:24 a.m. Â The Eagles will play alongside Miami and Notre Dame.
This marks the 12th time - and the fourth time in the past six years - that Sedgefield Country Club will play host to the ACC Women's Golf Championship. Â The Donald Ross designed golf course at Sedgefield opened for play in 1926. Since that time, it has fueled Greensboro's passion for golf and attracted tournament play to the Triad.Â
The course offers five sets of tees that provide a fun, yet challenging time for golfers of all skill levels. Sedgefield is also home of the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship. Established in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, the Wyndham Championship is the oldest regular season stop on the TOUR and remains a popular attraction to many in the region.
