Kelly Colleran struck out seven batters for the third time this season
BRIGHTON, Mass. – Boston College Softball (19-21, 4-11 ACC) defeated Quinnipiac University by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Harrington Athletics Village.Â
The Eagles scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the first inning. Emma Jackson led off with a walk, which was followed by an RBI single from Hannah Slike, and a two-run home run from Jordan Stephens, her eighth of the year. Stephens is now hitting .372 on the year and is one of 26 players in the ACC to have hit eight or more home runs.
Kelly Colleran was near perfect in the circle for BC today, pitching seven shutout innings, while only giving up three hits and striking out seven. This is Colleran's third game this season with seven or more strikeouts.
On deck: The Eagles head down to Clemson, SC for a three game series against the Tigers, with games scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. All three games will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra.
